Providing Reiki and Music Therapy together in tandem creates a unique opportunity to support patients with serious illness. This collaborative and integrative approach allows for space holding, two clinicians prepared to process emotions and experiences, and creates a calming environment that supports patient-centered care. This co-treatment model has facilitated positive symptom improvement for patients, improved psychological well-being, and alleviated caregiver burden. While a standard approach of providing Reiki or Music therapy alone has therapeutic benefits, a collaborative application has enhanced this experience for both patient and practitioner.
