The Bardo is dedicated to reimagining our relationship to death, dying, life, and living. Rooted in the healing power of nature and the wisdom of embracing life's transitions, our nature-based sanctuary offers rooms for those dying, care for those grieving, and guides for those navigating the complexities of all that a diagnosis brings.
The Bardo End-of-Life House has 3 guest rooms for those who are at the end of life. The house is situated on over 40 acres of sanctuary land. We welcome all those who are facing end of life, coping with loss, or assisting others in the dying process. We invite personal exploration and healing through nature-based therapies, equine and animal therapy, death with dignity, and more. We seek to inform and train practitioners and caregivers looking for new paradigms and tools to better serve the dying. We offer a safe and nurturing space surrounded by nature for individuals and families to face fears, connect deeply and find beauty, peace and meaning during life's most significant transition.
In the breakout session for The Bardo, you will learn about the land that holds the tools to recreate death, dying, and grief. You will witness a new way of being with death, and you will see our beautiful guest rooms. We will also be discussing how things have been done in the past and explore how we seek to change that through education, services, and experiences.
