Barbara Morris, MD, (she/her/hers) is a geriatrician based in Colorado, with a consulting practice focused on supporting patients and families in understanding care management and end-of-life needs. Dr. Morris has extensive experience providing compassionate care to individuals with a terminal illness, serving as both an attending and consulting physician as patients navigate complex end-of-life decisions such medical aid in dying.
As a founding member and current President of the Board of Directors of End-of-Life Options Colorado, Dr. Morris is deeply committed to ensuring equitable access to comprehensive, patient-centered end-of-life care and educating the public and healthcare professionals about the full spectrum of legal options available under the Colorado End of Life Options Act.
Barbara lives in Golden, Colorado with her husband. and her devoted chihuahua. She thrives on enjoying the beauty and peace of the Colorado mountains. In addition to her role with End-of-Life Options Colorado, Barbara is an emeritus member of the Board of Directors of The Family Tree in Denver, a team leader for several international and domestic volunteer programs. She is proud to have served on over 25 volunteer teams in the United States as well as India, Vietnam, Ecuador, Peru, Tanzania, Paraguay, Guatemala, and Cuba.
