Speaker Bio
Herta Feely is a writer and a full-time editor. She is the author of Saving Phoebe Murrow, her debut novel, published in the US and the UK, and is working on her next novel. Her work (both short stories and memoir) has been published in a number of literary journals and anthologies. She received the James Jones First Novel Fellowship and an Artist in Literature Fellowship from the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities, and the American Independent Writers Award for best published personal essay. She founded Chrysalis Editorial in 2007 and has served hundreds of writers in a variety of capacities through her company. Emily Williamson began her career as an editor with Chrysalis Editorial in 2011. In 2016, she founded Williamson Literary Agency in Baltimore, MD, driven by the desire to help great writers achieve their publishing goals. Her short fiction and poetry have appeared in literary journals such as Blackbird, Word Riot, Jersey Devil Press, Measure, and others. She is the author of the forthcoming collection of poetry, Dead Reckoning, and the winner of the 2018 No Chair Press Poetry Chapbook Contest.
