I plan to discuss commonly used “tricks of the trade” in palliative care to manage pain. I will begin with an introduction on various broad categories of pain treatment. From here, I will discuss several commonly seen pain types and syndromes seen in palliative care and how they can be managed with the above categories in mind.  Listeners should leave with a few new tools for their palliative toolkit.
